Wonderworld

As I stand on this valley floor

I ponder who’s been here before

A stallion, a mountain, at twilight I could see

A man might be a fool, takes a woman to make it cool

Together they ran down the path to the sea

Down in this wonderworld where grain becomes a pearl

That’s where we belong tonight…in this wonderworld…it feels so right

Far below this pagan shore…the gods rage, there’s men at war

The cold…the judgment…start to retreat…and fade out

A ribbon I can’t forsake…be damned if I would let it break

So together – side by side – down to the sea just you and me together

The tangling of liquid arms…the waves that crash through the night

So majestic, in sensation…endless…it’s all right here
