The years were like circles, I wandered around
Indefinite space, not lost but not found
No way to divine freedom from doubt
Conflicted beliefs were bringing me down
A forest at twilight, the wingbeat of birds
I followed the rhythm, suggestive of words
A girl in a dream; an aqua guitar
A stirring of notes, the door was ajar…sensations moving me
Alone in the desert I fell to my knees
Your voice was a wave calling to me
Listen to Joni, prophetically true
Two-sided fortune…do you feel it too?
Feels so fine…
Out in the fields I breathe in the sky
Oh how I love cherryvines
So many things I just couldn’t see
Now they’re the leaves on the tree
Every door open, horizon so blue
Internal landscape slips into view
Wandering souls, paths intertwined
North Star above, my sweet cherryvine
Remember the poet, that old Irish bard
That is our anthem, the line thru our hearts
We who tread softly on carpets of dreams
Bringing us closer…binding the seems
All of the things I could not perceive
The grace and the wonders we see
The wildness of cherries, so lush on the vine
One thing is certain, you’re made to be mine
Easy and free, a place in the sun
Everything simple, everything fun
La La La La, La La La La
